Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) are technical manuals that are authored in digital form and formatted and styled for optimized online display while maximizing user comprehension. They include contextual and dynamic interrelationships providing robust presentation and navigation and are capable of providing advanced procedural guidance, navigational direction, and supplemental information. IETMs can range from simple Class I, paper-on-glass pages, to sophisticated, database-driven Class V products that include expert systems and integration with diagnostic and prognostic systems, training, and other forms of electronic support applications.
